I numeri degli Oscar 2018. Sono 90 le edizioni svoltesi fin ora, compresa quella che avverrà il prossimo marzo. 59 è il numero di titoli in gara in tutte e 24 le categorie. Con 13 nomination La Forma dell’Acqua è il film che quest’anno ha ricevuto il maggior numero di candidature. Seguono Dunkirk con 8, Tre Manifesti a Ebbing, Missuori con 7, Il Filo Nascosto e L’Ora più Buia a 6. Lady Bird, Blade Runner 2049 a 5. Chiamami col Tuo Nome, Mudbound, Get Out, Star Wars: Last Jedi a 4.
Chiamami col Tuo Nome è la sorpresa (non tanto inaspettata) di questi Oscar 2018. Diretto dall’italiano Luca Guadagnino, la pellicola arriva agli Oscar 2018 con una candidatura (su 4) nella categoria Miglior Film.
Ma ci sono favoriti quest’anno agli Oscar 2018? Solitamente, l’audience si concentra maggiormente sui premi non tecnici, ovvero Miglior Film, Miglior Regia, Migliore Attore e Migliore Attrice Protagonista. Guardando alle premiazioni delle kermesse europee, potremmo dire che Gary Oldman (L'ora più Buia) e Daniel Day-Lewis (Il Filo Nascosto) sono i favoriti per la vittoria nella categoria Miglior Attore Protagonista, con il primo in leggero vantaggio.
I pronostici vedono un ballottaggio per la Migliore Attrice Protagonista, tra Frances McDormand (Tre Manifesti a Ebbing, Missouri) e Saoirse Ronan (La Forma dell’Acqua). Difficile dire quale sarà il Miglior Film, categoria che vede una corsa tra tre favoriti: Dunkirk, La Forma dell'Acqua e Il Filo Nascosto. In ultimo, ma non ultimo, molti critici vedono di buon occhio la vittoria di Gullielmo del Toro nella categoria della Migliore Regia. Dalle 17 ora statunitense, dal Doulby Theatre, Jimmy Kimmel presenterà la kermesse. La Notte degli Oscar 2018 verrà trasmessa anche in Italia, in diretta esclusiva, da Sky. A partire dalle 22:50 fino all'alba su Sky Cinema Oscar HD, Francesco Castelnuovo commenterà i momenti della cerimonia assieme al critico cinematografico Gianni Canova.
